Our Governors

At Thomas Wolsey, we have a very active and committed governing body who work closely with school staff to ensure that all pupils are safe and receive the support most appropriate to their needs in order to achieve to the very best of their ability. It is also the role of the governing body to ensure that school resources are used as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Our full governing body meet termly but all governors have additional responsibilities and meet regularly in sub-committees to discuss particular aspects of school life.  All governors attend training sessions to ensure they are up-to-date with developments and are supported by a substantive clerk.
Our Governors visit school the regularly and enjoy being involved in the day-to-day hustle and bustle of school life. Most have personal or professional experience of working with young people with special needs.
In accordance with the law, all our governors are required to declare if they have any personal or financial interests. These declarations are up-dated termly.
All our governors can be contacted via the school office either by email: or by letter.  Please mark your envelope private and confidential and it will be forwarded to the named governor.
