Admissions

We welcome pupils to our Assessment Nursery from the age of 3 years. In the Nursery, pupils we will assess whether our school is the right provision for them or whether their needs would be better met at another school. We will start the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) for them to get an Education, Health and Care Plan, (an EHCP). Some children may already attend a mainstream nursery and may have already started applying for an EHCP. They may choose to continue at their mainstream nursery and be ‘dual registered’, i.e. spend part of the week there, and part of the week with us.

Pupils in Years Reception and above will already have an EHCP in place. Some pupils join us after they have reached statutory school age, usually from other schools or if the family has moved from another area. These pupils must also have an EHCP in place.

All admissions are arranged by the Inclusion Family Services Team at the Local Authority in discussion and agreement with families, Thomas Wolsey Ormiston Academy and the pupil’s current setting. We are not able to admit children independently of the Local Authority.

If you would like a look around our school to see if it is the right setting for your child, please contact Amanda Jebb or the school office.
