Sam Murray visited us to see how things are progressing with our Play Sculptures Project. Sam helped fund the project, donating last year’s locality budget as councillor which enabled the project to go ahead. We now have a couple of week’s gap before one more week of exploration before moving onto the installation of our prototype that the whole school will be able to enjoy in May. This installation will be in place for 2 weeks and will provide opportunities for parents, staff and therapists to find out more about what types of stimuli motivate our children. There will also be an opportunity to chat to the artists, get lots of ideas for home-made, motivating objects made from cheap, everyday ‘found’ objects from around the home and maybe even create some of their own. More details to follow around this. Watch this space!
