Thomas Wolsey Beyond Labels

23rd February 26

We have submitted a large amount of artefacts to the Hold for their upcoming ‘Beyond Labels’ exhibition. The exhibition celebrates the lived experience of people with disabilities in Suffolk.

All classes completed a label which represents them. We have also had lots of other labels from a range of TWOA stakeholders from past pupils to professionals working in related services.

Also included in our donations have been other memorabilia representing the school over the years from an old vinyl when we had the school band who used to play on the Cornhill to a ‘Gotcha with Boccia’ cup and a Table Cricket trophy – representing some of the disability sports that are so important to the school.

We have submitted a potted history of AAC over the years and some personal account of staff and volunteers and their lived experience of disability.

We have no idea which items will be on display – we know all our labels definitely will be! Do head down to the Hold between Friday 27 February – Saturday 30 May 2026 to see the exhibition.

We will be proudly displaying out beautiful labels in school when they are returned to us after the event.
